This service is best suited to dwellings requiring major renovations or staged upgrades and contains the following details.
A detailed survey of your baseline energy value and covers all aspects of the dwelling such as…
A: Floors (areas, construction and current U values),
B: Walls (construction, levels of insulation on exposed areas and current U values),
C: Roof level (joist or rafter, current levels of insulation and current U values).
D: Windows and doors.
E: The survey also covers, Boiler analysis, Primary Space and Hot water heating systems, Secondary heating systems, Heating system controls and alternative supplementary forms of heating. Ventilation, draught infiltration and lighting are also covered.
An Observations section will then analyse all areas surveyed with regards to energy efficiency as it currently stands and where the shortfalls lie.
The following section will contain Recommendations for Improvement in the problem areas in order of cost effectiveness
A Schedule of Works will detail the recommended methods of implementation of each improvement and materials specification.
Scaled Floor Layout Plans can also be supplied with this service for the purpose of reference and to clarify the exact areas in question.
The final section is a Table of Improvements detailing the improved energy rating, reduced energy use and possible monetary savings, following the implementation of each recommended improvement. Energy costs detailed in this table are based on current gas prices, standing charges and VAT rates.
DWELLING SURVEY AND WORKS SPECIFICATION DETAILS

- Materials and specification of materials to be used.
